CASE STUDIES
What we can proud
Go Global Program – Green Trade Initiative – UNIDO

Problem
Small exporters of fresh produce in Egypt lack the knowledge of global markets and can’t professionally cater for EU customer needs. That is why UNIDO, through Go Global program within Green Trade Initiative project, intended to enhance the marketing capabilities of 60 local exporters and build their capacity through a mixed program of export training and coaching.

Go Global developed a mixed program of export training and coaching for the SMEs which included topics like:
- EU market and buyer requirements,
- Export marketing planning,
- Export promotion and trade show participation,
- Branding,
- Digital marketing,
- Trade finance,
- Cash flow management.

Companies were in a better position to understand EU buyer needs and how to approach them. The project helped 18 startup companies to start exporting to EU and 20 companies had direct B2B matchmaking activities in Italy and Netherlands.
Export Coaching Program – EYE – Kosovo

Problem
Kosovo is a country with many natural resources and has local manufacturers in different sectors especially processed food and beverage, and furniture. As the country was recently independent from the Soviet Union, they needed to grow their markets beyond Kosovo, especially that the Kosovan market is a small one, and won’t help to grow production and develop businesses.

5 export marketing plans were delivered to 5 companies, and local consultants gained the understanding and were coached on export business development of SMEs. This intervention made them ready to work on more export development projects in Kosovo.
